Ceilidh tunes – what we play

Fiddle Paradiddle is a professional three piece ceilidh and barn dance band that has performed at over 200 events across the UK and Europe.

Our high energy playing, clear and informal calling style, and traditional tunes with a modern twist have made us first choice for hundreds of weddings, corporate functions and parties up and down the country.

We play for any occasion, big or small, posh or humble, and welcome any crowd, young or old.

Alongside private events, we offer the most exciting ceilidh nights in South London, selling out monthly public events in the world famous Bedford Pub in Balham, and The Peckham Liberal Club.

Our Hogmanay Hootenannies New Year’s Eve ceilidhs are the stuff of legend. Which is why we start selling tickets in July.

Our standard dances include:

Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant, Canadian Barn Dance, Strip the Willow, Military Two-Step, Cumberland Reel, Virginia Reel, Cumberland Square, Swedish Masquerade, My Love She’s but a Lassie Yet, Foula Reel, Flying Scotsman, Lucky Number 7, Circassian Circle, Eightsome Reel, Oxo Reel, Riverside Jig, Willow Tree, Dixome Six-some, Waves of Tory, Siege of Ennis, Bridge of Athlone, The Steps of Waterloo, Witch’s Reel, Lady Godiva Reel

We perform new dances all the time, testing them out at our monthly ceilidh nights and performing them, once perfected, at our private events.

If there’s something you want to dance that isn’t on the list, just let us know! We can learn tunes and dances for your big day, to make your ceilidh unique.
