London’s wildest ceilidh band trio

Now in our fifth year of entertaining crowds across the UK and Europe, London’s wildest Ceilidh Band Fiddle Paradiddle, continue to bring the dance floor to life at weddings, parties and work functions with our professional sound, clear and enthusiastic calling, and informal style.

Having performed over 300 ceilidhs, Fiddle Paradiddle are experts in understanding your event, your crowd, and your venue. With a list of over 50 dances, and a repertoire of Scottish, Irish, English and original tunes, we guarantee a night to get the blood racing and the smiling muscles aching.

But who is Fiddle Paradiddle?

Fiddle Paradiddle London Ceilidh BandRoss Garrod – Cajon, Percussion, and Caller

Ross is a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, London and now plays percussion, timpani and drum kit professionally.

All that professional musician-ing gets a bit serious, and he requires some fun in his life, hence being the beat of the ceilidh band.
It’s also the only place it’s acceptable for him to make use of his cajon.

Alasdair Wallace – Caller, Guitar, Tin Whistle, MicroKorg (pending)

Alasdair is legitimately Scottish. He can show you his passport if you need proof.

As your caller for the evening, Alasdair will jump into the middle of the crowd and show you how it’s done. His expert calling will keep you going until you feel like you’ve been dancing these jigs and reels all your life. Just like he has. Since he was a wee boy and was made to dance with girls in gym class.

Add to this his lively guitar playing, and he ensures the dance floor is jumping by the first pousette. (That’s a ceilidh term – it’s not rude)

Colin Hall –  Fiddle, Mandolin, Caller

Colin “The Beard” Hall is the member of the band who looks like he was born to be a folk musician.

Colin has been playing the violin since he was 6 years old. After a violin rebellion in his teenage years Colin is now comfortably back behind the bow. Along with his mandolin, this one man melody factory will keep your feet moving with the tunes.
